Finger = fossil.
Cord, it has just been pointed out to me is T so we'll need to take care of it, but its not a "prerequisite" item for anything else.
The conch is used to obtain another item, which itself is a prerequisite for a third item.
EDIT: Oops, just realised I thought I had finger + conch in my list already, but I didn't so I've added it.
