I have just acquired an iPad. (Apple - of course). Does anyone know of an app to get me into the Tearoom? I would not want to venture any further - not on an iPad.

Zatelnet is the only client that gets anywhere for me - the so called mud clients just do not work at all well!!!

I use Mocha Telnet on my iPhone. Wouldn't want to get in a fight using it but fine for checking in, tearoom etc.

This message was a link to the killwebkit exploit that has a specific sequence of Arabic characters which can cause a fatal error that causes a crash in any application using the WebKit engine in iOS and Mac OS.
It has been removed and the poster should consider himself suitably warned, think before you post such stuff on our forum again.

We all have a right to our own opinions butsometimes other people's are difficult to decipher. Personally I am getting on very well with my iPad and dearly wish
I had bought a Mac when I last changed my desktop.

I know that Trollsmash is trolling - but DO NOT CLICK THE LINK IN HIS LAST POST if you are on apple products - this is a well known (well reasonably well known) exploit that crashes or at least disables your browser on certain OS levels - personally i have not tried it from an apple product - so am just repeating what you get from google

Thank you so much for the warning. You need not have worried. I am ignorant enough not to realise it was a link. I did a 'quote' just to see how he did the red writing.
Thank you also for the info on a client. I have managed to install it but I have not the faintest idea how to set it up. Would you object to me contacting you by e-mail for a bit of help? I also had a look at Mocha Telnet (thanks Hawumph) but it looked as though money would have to change hands. Something I try to avoid when it's mine.

and on an ipad related sort of topic.....
if anyone wants to run any of the old 'classic' infocomm games such as Zork (1,2 or 3) HHgttg, etc (including the devilish BrandX and the classic Colossal Cave) - or any other that have a z-machine version available on your ipad there is a z-machine available on the ipad!!!!!
Hang gown on hook
Put towel on grating

.
the babel fish flies into your ear.....
just wasted a day on nostalgia!
