Gladly! Can you mudmail me a capture from a telnet login as wiz? I need to get all the triggering text correct. Thanks, Crowley.

I love triggers, once you find what sets them off it is massive fun to watch people do daft things while you spam them with the trigger mechanism!

I do too!
The MOO that I run, we had players complaining that they were getting killed repeatedly by someone who was suspected of using triggers to attack them in a half second of helplessness.
This someone was also an admin on the game. He was connected on his admin account, and had been idle for a few hours. On a whim, I ran the strings I thought would set off his triggers past him. Checked his last input commands, and... bingo! He had them set up on his admin too.
MOO is all about object oriented code. The kill verb is a program on a player object. This means you can override it for a particular player...
So I hacked all of the verbs that got called by his triggers to do something different. Waited for him to get back a few hours later. And set them off again.
Which is how the entire game saw the message:
Leviticus shouts, "I AM A MASSIVE CHEAT AND HAVE BEEN USING TRIGGERS TO KILL PLAYERS"
...then I fired him.
