Hey folks,
Here's something I've been thinking about doing for a while: a google calendar to see when resets will be!
Take a look: http://mud2.net/calendar .
It requires some automation to keep it constantly up to date, so let me know here if it's something you're using - that way I know to keep it going.
Enjoy!

BTW If you think you've found a reset that started at a different time to what's on the calendar, then please post here with information like this from MUD (right before choosing who to play as):
MUD last reset on 17-JUN-2018 at 01:52:59.
This reset is number 86211.
Thanks!

I added details to the calendar entries for resets. The descriptions now say this kind of thing:
London: Mon 2:52:24 AM - Mon 4:39:24 AM.
US West: Sun 6:52:24 PM - Sun 8:39:24 PM.
100 minutes long. Ended 7 minutes early.

What's the harm, Seifer? It's designed to only appear right before the reset being due.

Viktor from mud2.com let me know my calendar script was causing problems, and Rebel from mudii.co.uk let me know that the same was happening on mudii.co.uk.
I got a bunch of diagnostic information from Viktor which pointed the finger at some sort of timing issue around disconnecting from the select-a-persona prompt.
I've fixed it to quit properly and wait for mud2 to terminate the connection.
Sorry for the hassle, folks.

The only people using the info you provide are mages trying to have solo sets, and i don't see why you have to enter the game to check when the reset is anyway as you can check by typing reset before the character select screen.

Mages who play during the "desired" times specified by wizards aren't trying to have solo sets.

Of course this calendar could probably be thrown off by mortal and wiz resets, or any resets that occur outside of normal circumstances.

Well, if anyone's still here, feel free to add your insights as to how this reset calendar works, and whether it's a good idea.

Seriously, we could use more discussions on the forums.
