Under preparation but I have to do last night's washing up first.

Unless someone else wants to do it, of course.

FROM YOUR FRAY (OR SHOULD THAT BE FEY) CORRESPONDENT

I got in slightly late but just in time to find Gigolo elected as Bash General and given the strange title ?Bash-moonwalker?. He immediately took command, like a terrier shaking a rat, and assigned tasks to each player in turn. I, being the first chosen, was given all the insects to kill. I made my way to the Maze. Seamonkee was given the sea life. This took some persuasion and Gigolo took the job back, only to re-assign it to Seamonkee. Unfortunately this was all done in ?shouts? and not ?tells? which gave the impression that Gigolo was being bossy. Later on Gigolo retired from the game.

I missed out on the pillar being completely lost in the maze despite having a half-decent map. The only way out was to qq and start again. After the bees I went on to the fireflies. I always had the impression there were a great number of these but it appears there are only five. Someone else had killed the butterfly and the dragon-fly. I am not sure what happened about the scorpion or even if it comes under the heading of insect.

I was then assigned to the Ghoul, which I found really scary. I was surprised to kill him with 43 Stam to spare. I was zzing when Gigolo left the game. I can only assume that someone took offence at his perceived over-bearing leadership attitude, resulting in an attempted pk. But I am guessing. I could be wrong.

It was then that I went to the dwarfs. I was busy thrashing one female on her own when she was joined by four other dwarfs. The words suddenly spammed up the screen and I was dead. There may have been a slight lag.

I came back in and CF doted upon me up to swordsman which saved me a bit of hassle and made me feel a whole lot better. It was on my way to get a glow that I came across the mouse, once to the way up and once on the way down. But I was so intent on getting back to the dwarfs that I did nothing about it. This was to have repercussions later towards the end of the game.

When I got the Dwarfen Realm there appeared to be none left. Meanwhile at the Pag I found the tiger and with the much appreciated help of Kopparberg managed to overcome it with a stam of just 16 at the end.

It is now that we come to icon incident. They were one short and I was on my way to the AC, but I was still someway away and holding things up, when CF stood in in my place.
Much was said about what happened next so I will quote from the log. I will edit out the boring bits moving from one place to another but keep everything else including the fight verbatim. You can make up your own mind about what happened.

(+1,600 = 3,863).
A dangerous, mean-looking epee has been dropped on the floor here!

Luckily I had the LS and I just let it do its work. The epee must have been out of the Wizzes Store. Tintin had been accompanying me for some time without a by-you-leave which I was beginning to find irritating.

The bash proceeded along conventional lines from then on. We got into extra time with just three left and after a lot of searching the mouse was the last to go.

This was a very satisfactory bash - all things considered.

I gave him a weapon in good faith. I wont do so again. Well done Royston. Nice report.

However, I think you will find it was myself who killed the tiger.

Certainly true and I stand corrected but I was there and attempted a flee at 16 stam getting a few points as it happened.

To quote Ilisity from a different thread below:

Suppose this brings us back to the point Roy made many months ago about the bash being a time for us to come together and achieve a goal .

I honestly think that pking in a bash should be disallowed . I can understand why people would want to attack a high level warlock/ mage . Pking detracts from the nature of a bash and in the end makes it less fun .

You can use MO instead of CREATURE, you know.

g all x mo

And pkimg is part of mud. If you don't like it, play a PP.

mo doesn't work for player. cre does both.

I have been pk'd many times and never complained about it and I am not complaining now.

I think you are missing the point about a hunger, or even a lust, for points, which can cloud some players' judgement. You may consider it prudent to attack a player who has the LS. I would think twice.
