REPORT:-
We set up the pillar first off, except that when we were ready, no one had brought it and Alkomissed had to go back for it.
It was along those lines that matters were to continue for me at least.
I decided to skim across the lava quickly to the room 'Before the Staircase' and got blocked by a fire hawk and suffered my first predictable silly.
Giving that up for a while I went in the direction we went last week through the pyramid rooms to the Inner and Outer Chambers. Doughnut managed to get further and into the Cube Room but none of us could follow him.
That was as far as we got last week and we could get no further this week. Next time, we need to make better use of the pointers and the slippers would be useful too. Or are they shoes I'm thinking of?
Later I did manage to walk on the lava (See above) but when I demonstrated my skill to Kingcobra and Doughtnut, they were silly enough to acc me and I killed them both in the process.
Edit: I won't be here next week; nor the week after, so you will have to manage without me and someone else will have to do the write-up. Neither of which should prove too difficult.

Due to lack of interest I wont be running anything further on Thursdays unless specifically asked before hand so I can work out numbers.
Simply post on forum what you would like to do, ie bash, quest etc and if enough people want to do it ill be there. Otherwise, it will be a normal evening.
Cf.

Do you mean there'll be a mobile bash in the absence of any other event?
It'll be a huge shame to lose the Thursday evening tradition. Do we need to think of ways to liven up the mobile bashes?

I hope so. It just means I wont be running it. I always loved Bashs when I was a mortal.

It does beg the question 'where are all the other Wizzes?' Arches aside, CF is the only one we ever see. He's the only one doing all the work giving the game that little bit of extra interest. No wonder he is cheesed off; working his socks off for a minority turn out.

Can the game be coded so that an auto-reset occurs every Thursday at 9pm? That way if for any reason there is no wiz available to run a bash, one can take place anyway.

You guys, I love you all to pieces and I really enjoy the special events when I get to play them. But real life takes precedence over a computer game, ALWAYS. I think that is true of most people.
CF, we all appreciate your efforts even if we don't always make it to the events ourselves. I read the writeups and enjoy them a lot. If you don't have the time and energy to deal with events or bashes anymore, that is fair enough, and someone else can step up and do it if they want to.

Yes, this is something we can work on.
I know both Crazyfool and I have posted on here many times about days and times and interest in running quests, but what would be the best time to run a quest? Is Thursday evening the best time?

Yes, if that's what everyone wants. But might wizzes (and maybe mortals) think there's no point in turning up?

Every time you play, you're using up time you could be spending doing something else.

I take back what I said above about never seeing any wizzes other than CF. Sabretooth was on last night. I found him a great encouragement. He has given me a new goal in my MUD world.
I ought to take this opportunity to apologise to Keal for emptying the Druids after he killed the Dragon. But as my old sergeant used to say, never apologise. So I won't.

I don't know what you lot did to Crazyfool during the last quest but he won't do it again! So you're stuck with me now
So I propose running a quest, or an alternative event, once a month. However, I had asked time and time again if this is actually what you want, but I never get a response. Do I enforce a potentially unwanted quest/event on you every month, or do I assume that you're just not that bothered?
It's your game, let me know what you want!

I think most of us enjoy the quests and they are worth running, but sometimes RL commitments get in the way of them, so players can't always guarantee to show up and play them. I've played pretty much every quest event except the monastery ones, and look forward to playing (and mapping!) more in the future.
To answer your question, a monthly quest sounds like a good idea, and I'd make an effort to be there, but I can't promise I'll attend every one.
