A Few musings: just for the record.
(1) We have been successful on the last three bashes. So far this year out of 7 we have won 4.
(2) Yesterday I read a bash report from the year 2000, in which the writer was complaining about the lack of support as only 15 players turned up.
(3) In another thread I mentioned that I had been messing about at the Spring and some of you have asked me how I got on. At Superhero it dropped to 2 points a go and at Champion to just 1. It all came to a sudden end at 13220 points. All together, including time taken to acquire kit and subdue belligerent mobiles in took exactly 17 hours in 16 sets over 3 days.
(4) While some were interested in my capers at the spring others were kind enough to ask me how I was getting on with the dragon. Well here it is:
From 1st this month I have faced the dragon 27 times. Eight times I successfully dealt with him and eight times he with me. Three times I survived a Hawumph and the other 8 times the dragon flew off into another location just as I input the command. Two commands in one in fact (separated by a full stop). One to do the business and one to escape back to the mainland. So on these occasions I found myself safely back but without achieving what was required.
(5) On a more personal note: irl I start out for Blighty tomorrow. An overnight stay in Bilbao then two days and one night on the ferry to Southampton. I will not be going North in the Land before I return to Spain on Sunday 14th March. That means I will be absent from the next three Bashes. I am taking a palm top so might just be able to pop into the Tearoom from time to time but there is no way I am going to play MUD tapping a small screen with a stylus.
I don't want anyone to think I have died Dead-dead-dead.

This would be a horribly ironic last post if the worst were to happen......

Have a safe trip Royston, ...and I hope the car gets through it's MOT
I'm just glad it doesn't take me 3 weeks to get my motor a MOT.

How could they do it with only 15 players? Impossible I say!

Sounds like it's getting too easy, have to make bashes harder somehow!

In ye olde days, the amount of players was actually a hindrance. A lot of the bash consisted of the bashers trying to sleep while the idiots shouted inane rubbish such as "What's left??".
It still makes me angry now.

Shouting things in bashes was great fun, maybe I'll have a go in the next bash!

My favourite is:
A male voice in the distance shouts "help".
