BASH REPORT FOR THURSDAY 22ND APRIL 2010.

We started just a few minutes before nine. I counted four players plus Foddy the Arch Wizard but more came in as we went along. Kingcobra was elected Bash-General. Things seemed to go much better although we were, in actual fact slow, especially in the beginning. For once I decided to take on the more challenging mobiles and leave the rest for others. When it came to the Spider I found the chord missing. Some time ago, when I was first trying to work out how to deal with the Spider I set fire to the cord to see what happened and I dare say someone else did just that last night. I asked Foddy to help me by replacing the cord. He came to the Ruin and asked me if I was ready for this. I nodded and instead of the cord being replaced, I found myself confronted by the Spider. I don't like spiders in real life and I always imagine the one in MUD as about the size of a garden shed. Still I persevered and squashed it.

We all persevered and although we did not kill all the mobiles, I think there were only about six left at the end of the reset. Not withstanding, It was a good bash that everyone enjoyed. It is amazing the difference a few extra players make.

I came in about half way through the bash. I managed to help with the pagoda, and I gave a frustrated sigh when someone shouted "There's a Pagoda?". At this point, I'd say that if you don't know the pagoda exists, let alone where it is or what's in it, you really shouldn't be in a bash.

Anyway, the tiger was the one that gave me the most trouble. I had to flee from it twice.

Oh, and also someone left lit incense at the wide path in front of the pagoda, and the fumes made me drunk. Because of that, I found myself 'losing hold' of staff1 in front of ape9, who promptly grabbed it and ran off. I had to find another weapon (and a glow) to properly deal with ape9.

Aside from that, I dealt with the stag and alerted people that the keep still needed doing. We managed to finish that off, but I think about seven or six mobiles were still around when the set ended. Well, we gave it a good try anyway.

I think Blib should be banned from bashes for making on-running jokes about serious matters that some people simply do not understand.

I have, as yet, no idea how to get to the upper floors of the Pagoda or what's to be found up there. Does that make me ineligible?

Okay, I was being a little harsh.

But in order for a bash to be successful, there should be at least two people who know about the pagoda involved.

I do not believe you have to win a Bash for it to be successful, so long as it is enjoyed.

Also, I am sure if there is a mobile that cannot be reached for whatever reason, the Wiz running the Bash will relocate it, as happened with the Golem last week and the Spider this week.

I found the longsword and went around hitting everything I could see.. I had lots of fun!!

Also there are other ways to lure the spider from her lair...

What is a Golem, anyway?

Edit: OK I just looked it up on Wiki. Now I know.

There only needs to be one person who knows how to do pagoda (assuming it is open).
