Topmudsites December reset! Lets regain position 16! |

Like last month, the rankings on topmudsites.com have reset and we again have an opportunity to quickly get to the front page. Last time we managed to reach and hold position 16 for a while although we then dropped down to 20 for the last couple of weeks (still front page though!). We need all the votes we can get and that means voting the maximum number of times per day (once every 12 hours per computer/internet connection).

That's on three different machines obviously. Does it matter if it all goes through the same router? Do they all still count?

If the machines are sharing the same IP address, it will only count once.

In general, 1 router = 1 IP address. There's a good chance that your router would give you a slightly difference IP address every time it resets the connection e.g. by turning it off and on but this would almost certainly be viewed as abuse by TMS and I wouldn't recommend it
We're currently at 21 but have the exact same number of votes as position 20. Just one a tiny bit more voting and we'll get back onto the front page.

I have found this Google app. which tells you what your IP address is. It is the same on my laptop as on my desk top. I assume it has also been the same when I have voted using my smart phone as I have always used it at home via the same router. It looks as though my efforts to by-pass the system (some might say cheat) and vote three times on each occasion have been ineffective.

I keep voting on my 3 machines (3 different IPs) and we're only a couple of being planted properly on the front page!

Looking at the list we are No. 1 in the UK. Most of them look like they are based in the USA.
