BASH REPORT FOR THURSDAY 30TH DECEMBER 2010.

If I had to use only one word to describe last night?s Bash that word would be extraordinary. It started off by me getting in almost an hour late. Straight away I did my four command check to see what the state of affairs was. I have added remarks in square brackets to make the log clearer:

*qw.sv.date.reset
[qw]
Heiach the chimerical wizard
Royston the warrior=
Roberto the dragon-slaying, bash general mage
Trantor the sorceress
[sv]
*49 alive, 251 dead.
[date]
*Date: 30-DEC-10 21:52:34.
*Time-stamp: 21:52:34 on 30-DEC-2010.
[reset]
This is reset 49070, using slot 0.
An auto-reset will be initiated in approximately 53 minutes.

So we got one Wizard and only two players (without me) with 49 mobiles left to kill in 53 minutes. This was impressive and already within the magic formula of one mobile per minute. I got stuck in to a couple of mobiles during the course of which my falchion got taken away from me and a sabre given to me instead.

A little later, having just fled from the pony, I was looking for somewhere to sleep while it was raining when this appeared on my screen:

*Too many commands are buffered up, I'll have to wait awhile, sorry...
Trying again...
Still waiting...
Trying again...

Now I have been having trouble all week trying to run both the Clio and MUDII clients on my desktop (running Windows 7) and had for the bash resorted to my laptop which runs on XP. I was now convinced I had totally corrupted my Clio client which was confirmed when I tried running it on the desk top and got the same response.

The personae available to you are:
(1) Royston,
(2) Zog,
(3) Gascooker.
Too many commands are buffered up, I'll have to wait awhile, sorry...
Trying again...
Still waiting...

Oh well... I give up!

I could not enter any command even ?qq? and had to close the windows to shut it all down. I tried the MUDII client on the desk top and got straight back in.

In the Tearoom Sabretooth the Wizard and Turrican the Arch-Wizard came up through the floor like a couple of demon-kings in a Pantomime. It transpired that the main frame had crashed up line and it had nothing to do with my end. After a long debate (both Heiach and Roberto were missing) Turrican doted Trantor and me up by 2.9K by way of compensation. I am curious as to why it was 2.9K and not 3K. That is not a complaint. 1.5K would have been fair; 2.9 was generous. After all, we did not succeed; though I think we would have done.

I am putting this down as a draw. I bet that has never happened before ? a drawn bash.

The Wizzes blamed Heiach. Me? I blame Blib.

Yes I am very good at crashing the MUD when I'm not online...

I wasn't. When things go wrong you are always fairly safe in blaming Blib and this had his fingerprints all over it.

In knee-high leather boots, hands on hips? So glad you didn't say Goblin King then I'd be thinking of David Bowie in tights.
