ANNUAL BASH SUMMARY 2010
This will not be a complete summary as I have no logs of anything that happened during the period 26th August to 7th October. Despite my asking for someone else to do the write-ups during that time, they were not done. I have an idea that not very much did happen and that for several Thursdays no one turned up. So this so-called annual summary is based on 45 weeks and not 52. If somebody can fill in the missing 7 weeks for me I will happily bring things up to date.
There were 46 ?official? events in the 45 weeks including the Easter Egg Hunt which took place not on a Thursday but on Easter Sunday. By ?official? I mean known about in advance and supervised by a Wiz. There were 18.5 successful bashes but 24.5 which were not (The one on the 30th December you may remember was a draw). This leaves 2 days (8th April and 24th June) when nothing happened as no one turned up. This year there were no Treasure Hunts, no Sorcerer Wars, No Dragon Bashes and no Quests.
You can never be sure what mobile will put in an appearance in a bash. The snail, the crab and the marmot for instance, can be difficult as they are hardly ever present. As in the past, extra mobiles appeared at certain times of the year. The Halloween Bash and the Christmas period are cases in point. Several special rooms also appeared in Dracula?s Mansion at Halloween. Of course, all the extra mobiles have to be killed to win.
The most exciting bash for me was on 4th November when two players got it down to the Golem with just about a minute of time left. The Golem was fodded by a sympathetic Wiz just in time.
There were several ?Ad Hoc? events: a few successful bashes and, I believe, one Sorcerer War run by Sabretooth.
Looking towards next year, I personally hope we can have a few events which are not bashes: Sorcerer Wars, Dragon Bashes, Treasure Hunts and above all, Quests.

A genuine thanks Royston. You provide a valuable service.
Don't expect me to be that generous to you again until next year.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!! I can't take it. Can we have the old abusive Blib back. We know where we are then. This just makes me feel uncomfortable.

I'm that good at this, I can discombobulate Royston without even trying.

To be fair, there were some ad-hoc quests I believe?

I there were several. The one in which I took part was very exciting as we only just made it. There was also I believe one ad hoc Sorcerer War oganised by Sabretooth.
EDIT: Didn't I say that?

Thank you Turrican. I heard there were a number of weeks running when no one showed up. It looks like 1 success, 1 non-success and what's left - non-starters.
If anyone really wants a copy of the spreadsheet, please email me.
