While it lasted (which wasn't too long...)

Yeah right, the site has three articles on it, one of which is about 50 words long.
And don't give us "quality not quantity" you just couldn't be bothered to write anything.
I personally, thought the message board was more fun, although I would like to see how many lurkers are on there

The next article explains why the site launch was so tiny.
Much to my shame and regret.
Oh, and I'm gonna put a counter on the message board to see the kind of hittage it's getting.

Message board looks like something I'd lurk in but never post (most probably because I could think of little of actual importance to say).

By lurkers I meant, as I'm sure you know, people who read but don't write. People who view your site is a different issue.
Hope you get hits by the shedload, although you don't deserve it, for now.
Mud is a pretty small community, but it has people who will look, and contribute.
Check this board, 90% posts have been pointless really, Clio and MT etc aside, they're just chit-chat and Eric is so eager to make people write it hurts.
Good luck to Foddy, hope the game is free again one day, though I doubt the days of unlimited accounts will ever come back.

I've always wanted to make people write, I like hearing opinions.
Plus I've got some time on mud, why not get try to get the community a little more active?
EDIT: Actually I totally forgot about the subject of my reply there, which was about the site.
I like the layout, must say. Needs more stuff, and (not meant in offense) but for a live site, it's not very live.
Empty boxes, stuff that isn't ready, etc.
Liked the articles though.

Any ideas on how to make the community more active?
(On a side note check out this link on Eric's web site, http://www.darrenclay.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/Pages/Pictures/circles.htm, sure is weird)

Your website has nae managed to "rock" my world yet, sunshine.
All I've read is rehashed, or perhaps not rehashed, muddy stuff.
There's nout on it really.
It has potential though.

I often get the feeling it's hard to write anything genually new about MUD anymore, apart from a handful of investigations into Do Dwarfs like gerkins? Why isn't there a fast food place? When will the tea-room be redecorated?

Kurupt...
Yeah, I've been busy. I've had to 'recycle' a fair bit.
It's fair to say that the stuff about the strike in the 'States wasn't recycled.
But yeah, there's a fair bit of recyclage.
I remember saying a while back that there's noting more to say about Mud... But I dunno, I've found something to say.
Other people better come up with some stuff, too... Otherwise MT is gonna get increasingly weak.

It's fair to say that I've neglected the site... It was never intended to be updated daily or anything, but I had hoped to get it up and running with at least an update every week.
Well, I started University in September and I've been busy enough to have no interest in getting this site up and together. I've neglected to build a links section, and I've neglected to update it regularly.
With the content as limited as it is, I've been apprehensive in pushing the site and actively pursuing hits. I haven't bothered to register with search engines and such, nor have I tried to get 'hand me down' hits from any larger websites.
Well, that ends now.
As of Article 009 (There's Something About Britney), I'll be updating every fortnight. This isn't something I can guarantee, but you can be sure I'll do my best.
With any luck, you'll come away entertained once every fourteen days at least, and if you don't then you can do what you already do and complain at me on the Discussion board, leeches that you are.
Expect The Monkey to tackle many and various epic and world shattering issues, and the occasional bit of fluff - Regularly and Live.
We'll see...

I read it.
I was laughing at them rather than with them
There are certainly some sad people with far too much time on their hands. Maybe they should try getting a job to pass the time, or maybe...dare I say..a REAL LIFE with some REAL FRIENDS!
Oh, and not the ones that usually throw bricks at them when they pass, or point and laugh.

I have not laughed so much at reading a web-page since MDK was put on the net. I was in stitches the whole way through.

Fast becoming the best thing on my site, despite it's limited appeal.
Updated once again.
