As part of the December edition of Muddled Times there will be another awards article. See last year's awards to get an idea of what it will all be about.
Either e-mail your nominations to me at karya@muddled-times.com or post them here.

Can we nominate inanimate objects? If so then I choose brand5, lets face it if you have to take a brand it's the one you'd want.

Ah yes, the Muddled Times Awards.
The awards that last year led me to write:
'I arrive home. Since I have spent half of the night trying to get served, I am sober therefore I go on the internet and I'm greeted by this shit:
'Jericho: Pop Culture Monkey wins the prize for best tortured soul act for his many colourful posts on Muddy.'
Foddy wrote that. Take a look at this Month's Muddled Times.
What an utter, utter coot.
I have NEVER, EVER, NOT ONCE IN MY LIFE, EVER, EVER, EVER 'acted' like 'a tortured soul'. I've said it before, let me say it again for the hard of understanding:
I LOVE MY LIFE.
I HATE YOURS.
I AM AN OPTIMIST. I BELIEVE WE CAN ALL DO BETTER. I BELIEVE THAT WE DON'T WANT TO DO BETTER. I BELIEVE THAT THAT IS WRONG.
I have never 'acted'.
I am not a 'tortured soul'.
I have never 'acted' like a 'tortured soul'.
As always it's nice to see my name in print, but I'd rather you DON'T refer to me in such a derogatory manner. Before you say it:
I do have a sense of humour. Thankfully, I don't have yours'
Despite mellowing somewhat since then, I remain as unamused as ever.

I came to this conclusion:
1) You claim to have a sense of humour but look like you find it hard to laugh?
2) If you didn't act like a "tortured soul" or whatever, why didn't you just let it go over your head and ignore it and leave Foddy or whoever to have their laugh?
3) Why can you only critise people and not take critism?
4) Although you try to offend people in your articles, I take it you find it very hard to write a constructive arguement without swearing?
5) Do you want to hear more of my jokes?

Smell the replies:
1. Addressed in the previous post.
2. Because silence isn't golden.
3. Because I'm bigger, better and more tastefully attired than EVERYONE ELSE ON EARTH.
4. I've addressed this so many times it's silly.
Fact is, I'm more than capable of writing without cursing... I make use of a good cuss now and again to 'ground' what I write.
On the rare, rare occasions that I write something of value, people can read it safe in the knowledge that if the article isn't to his or her liking, there'll be a couple of dick jokes somewhere in there.
I can and ragularly do write without the cuss words, though I rarely talk without significant mouth/soap interaction.
Yep, The Monkey enjoys a good cuss.
And if it makes anything I write more accessible, then why not?
Only a fool would presume that a man with a foul mouth is weak of mind.
5. I'd rather not, if it's all the same to you.

I'm putting my chances of winning anything at slim to non-exsitant..mainly because I haven't really done very much (I tend to hide from tea-room discussions these days). So I'll just back and enjoy the show.
