Hey all,

I resurrected mud2.net, so it's easy to download mudiiclient again:

Enjoy!

Okay. After really entirely too much effort, I now have installers set up for each of the major operating systems (Windows, OSX, and Linux)!

On top of that you can now configure where the log files are stored, and by default they're stored in your Documents\Mud2Logs directory. So no more problems with log files not being saved in Windows.

This was a ton of work, and a real labor of love at this point. If anyone uses the installers I'd really like to hear from you, so that I can gauge what my hours-spent to users ratio is. Thanks!

You can find the installers here along with screenshots to guide you through the process:

thank you! linux installer works.
and the client looks nice. it is even simpler than clio. there are quality of mudding features like repeating last command by holding enter, tab completion for player names, leaving the last few lines visible when scrolling far back etc.

Sweet! I’m glad you appreciate the little details.
There are a bunch of other things I should get around to documenting properly. Like it will remember mausoleum answers for you and can autocorrect typos.

It’s good to know that the Linux installer works. If you have any install doc contributions let me know.

I like that it recalls things after a char has suffered a non-permanent death.

Been pondering MUD clients myself. Wondering if the added bells and whistles are worthwhile.
