It's not got a name yet, but if you feel a strange longing to try new MUD clients, then download:
http://www.hyperplanar.co.uk/downloads/MUD2Client.zip
Release notes are in readme.txt

I get a message about missing d3d9.dll. The readme suggests that the client will still run:
" 7. On startup, a popup box claims it cannot find d3d9.dll.
S. If hardware acceleration is not required, this can be
ignored and the client will default to software - unfortunately
the function to request a DirectX9 interface causes this
popup."
I can't install directx, does that mean the client can't be made to run? If so, you should add directx 9 to the list of requirements..

It *should* run without dx9, it just might complain about it not being there. I couldn't test it without dx9 since every PC I have access to has it and it can't be un-installed.
If it doesn't work, there's a chance I fixed it in a later build, but I'm not certain since I figured there'd be a lack of interest in it anyway and as a result, I haven't worked on it for a while - I can always remove the references to dx9, if anyone without dx9 actually wants to run it.

Yeah, your motivation for writing a client can't be the appreciation of the (handful) of users. <sigh> I think if I worked it out, I probably worked at least a whole week per user of my last client.
That said I am working on a new client. Although it'll be primarily for me.
I noticed you added a search function. I'll give that a look..
