It would be nice to see the return of POTM and DOTM as mentioned in the MUDspeke dictionary. Showing the top 10 mortals of the week like Cat's website used to do on mudii.co.uk would be a nice idea also.

Apparently it was all tied up in politics over at wireplay so they couldn't do it - would be great to see it happen here! At the very least, top 25 personae every bi-month in a certain online magazine?

Take a look at http://www.mudii.co.uk/top10.mud at some point ...
We have intentionally kept the top 10 on the official site very simple, i.e. no archive, no graphics, etc.
If you'd like access to the top 10 data to put a more advanced top 10 on your own site, let us know.

I can't remember most of them - I think I emailed Foddy about it one time. They were all strange strange ideas, like top 10 people killed by a dwarf, or most trinkets swamped, or most brands collected by one person.
Stupid little things, that fitted in with my stupid little site 
I would like to see a lot of these happen - the top 10 pks (who have killed the most mortals), or top 10 people who have killed the most mobs, for example.

It'd be nice to provide some unusual top10s like these, but I would rather see them on players' sites instead of mudii.co.uk. Unfortunately, now that I'm in a better position to provide these for sites, all the regularly updated player-run sites seem to have shut down.
If anyone does have a regularly updated site, and would like a "different" top10, get in contact with me and I'll see what I can do.

I'm considering setting (another) one up but I doubt my opinions are drastic enough for me to ramble on for any length of time about so once I got past the why not spawn the Crown at the rapids occassionaly points I wouldn't have anything else to say.

The only reason I didnt start mine up again was the lack of news. Didnt want it to become stagnant again (even tho I was promised it would be updated regularly ).

As you say, you ARE ideally placed to provide data ( even if it is in a simple top ten list, no graphics stylee! ) for various top tens.. and as most of the fan web sites have gone down the fuming swamp why not make more use of MUDII.co.uk? Or Mudled... maybe a monthly top 10 update?
If I could do a website... I have free web space so it seems.... I would do something, but let me learn it a bit first...!

We've been collecting some extra data for a few weeks now with the intention of putting additional top 10s on the website.
Hopefully, these will be available soon, but if anyone has any great ideas for top 10s, let me know and I'll see what I can do.
